Flex Enterprises, Inc.Flex Enterprises: Tubing Products - Victor, NY
Flex Enterprises is a western New York fabricator and distributor of customized rigid tube assemblies and braided tubing products. As a small company with 25 employees, Flex’s owners and management recognized the importance of a fully integrated ERP system to streamline their daily business operations and maximize employee productivity.

Flex chose RSVP Business Systems and SyteLine ERP because they felt that RSVP offered the best combination of local support and ERP system functionality that fit their specific needs. The implementation of SyteLine moved along smoothly as Flex upgraded from a DOS system to SyteLine. Fres-co worked closely with RSVP Business Systems’ Professional Services team to make the migration to SyteLine 7 a smooth transition … On time and under budget! Grady-White is a North Carolina manufacturer with a legendary reputation for designing and producing outstanding fiberglass sport fishing boats. Grady-White’s upgrade to SyteLine included critical requirements for system personalization, and RSVP provided the professional services that allowed for a reliable upgrade timeframe and the consistent results that the project demanded.

Innovative Steam Technologies, a world leader on Once Through Steam Generator (OTSG) technology, has over 13 years of experience with the SyteLine ERP system. This includes system upgrades from earlier Symix ERP versions to the enhanced versions of SyteLine ERP, which are offered to clients through Infor’s maintenance and support program.

Christopher Ritchie, Vice President of Finance and Administration, believes that IST continues to get value for their initial ERP software purchase back in 1992. Chris says that "Infor (previously Frontstep and MAPICS) has always been good at recognizing the importance of functionality for the Canadian market, as well as demonstrating a solid understanding of global market requirements."

Chris further states that he "feels strongly that Infor continues to invest in the functionality and viability of the SyteLine Suite, and he is excited about working with RSVP Canada Corporation on future SyteLine enhancement upgrades and other integrated applications, such as CRM.

Mortara InstrumentsMortara Instruments: Medical Devices - Milwaukee, WI
Mortara Instruments is a Wisconsin-based company that manufactures medical devices (e.g. Stress Systems, Electrocardiographs) worldwide. Mortara uses RSVP’s Quality Control Solution (QCS) in conjunction with the Infor SyteLine ERP system. RSVP has worked closely with Mortara to ensure that QCS is running smoothly with their medical equipment manufacturing operations.

When asking Tom Schmitz, Mortara’s VP of Manufacturing, what were the determining factors in implementing QCS, his first response was “Ken” (Ken Liesegang, President of RSVP Business Systems, Inc.). Although Ken’s presentation and knowledge of QCS were a strong selling point, Mortara knew it was imperative for them to have the proper controls on FDA requirements, as well as other regulatory standards for the medical industry. They were looking for a solution that would effectively assist them in managing their quality objectives and that was fully integrated with SyteLine ERP … QCS provided an excellent application fit for Mortara and even offered the added benefit of having the same user interface and database as SyteLine ERP.

All of the timelines and expectations given by RSVP in the QCS implementation plan were met. Tom states, “In a world where software development grows so fast, it’s frustrating to deal with common bugs that accompany the implementation process. RSVP’s responsiveness in support is the best. If I have any issues, I know I can call Matt (Newcomb) in RSVP’s support team and things will be resolved.” The impact QCS has had on Mortara is that they can electronically look at data in one location. There are no longer “islands of information” stored in various places and not integrated into the companies’ ERP system, which has saved Mortara a great deal of time and increased employee productivity.

Parlec Inc.Parlec, Inc.: Tooling, Workholding and Presetting Solutions - Fairport, NY
Parlec is the world leader in tooling, workholding and presetting solutions, with operations not only in Fairport, NY, but also in Bristol, UK and Nanjing, China. As Parlec has grown internationally they realized the need for an ERP system that would support their multi-site, multi-language and multi-currency requirements. Since Parlec had already invested many years in utilizing the Symix ERP software their decision to upgrade to SyteLine ERP was an easy one. The first facility was their China location which went up on SyteLine a year before their main Fairport facility.

Parlec had utilized Symix for over 12 years so the move to SyteLine with the associated change from Progress to SQL database technology, along with the related hardware changes, made the process as much of a new implementation as an upgrade. The upgrade also included many personalizations, so with assistance from RSVP Business Systems (RSVP) multiple conference room pilots were used to confirm settings and functionality. Connie Shaw, Director of IT explained “through using the multiple conference room pilots the Parlec Team of Champions was as prepared as they could be for a go live.” Connie goes on to state that Parlec is already seeing significant benefits through the increased flexibility with table filtering, easy export of data into Excel, and increased functionality with the “detail” drill down features.

Parlec considers their upgrade as simply the first step in a continuous improvement project for utilizing SyteLine ERP now and in the future, instead of sitting back and enjoying a job well done. The next step will be converting their UK facility to SyteLine and soon after that will be evaluating other enhancement modules for implementation. Parlec is already planning an upgrade to Infor ERP SL 8 in the one to two year timeframe to take advantage of more new features and functionality available in that version.

Quality Vision International, Inc. (QVI) is the world’s largest vision metrology company. QVI is a leader in innovative and advanced technologies used in industrial measurement and inspection for quality and process control. Over the past 60 years the QVI companies have delivered more than 35,000 inspection and measurement systems with a total value exceeding $2B to manufacturers in more than 60 countries.

In 2006, QVI created an ERP evaluation committee that consisted of 20 people from various departments. After a thorough investigation of available systems the committee unanimously selected Infor’s SyteLine ERP product. QVI’s team recognized that Infor SyteLine ERP would make it possible to maintain many of their proven existing business processes. SyteLine also provided the technology and extensibility within its toolset to align nicely with QVI’s diverse product and multi-site requirements.

Mr. Keith Polidor, QVI Project Team Leader, explains that “the QVI implementation team worked with RSVP Business Systems on critical aspects of our successful go-live kickoff earlier this year.” In addition to QVI’s implementation of core SyteLine ERP functionality, the company also utilizes several Infor SyteLine Suite products that have extended their ERP system to include Quality Control, Advanced Product Configuration, Enhanced Human Resources, and Field Service Management. QVI’s next implementation phase will include CRM and SyteLine ERP Workflow to assist in managing their business processes internally and externally within the SyteLine ERP application.

Mr. Polidor states, “having worked with RSVP on various projects since the early 1990’s, we knew that their Professional Services staff was prepared to effectively assist us with our SyteLine implementation, including data conversion, multi-site and transfer order modifications. RSVP’s technical team was great to work with … Their industry experience and deep knowledge of SyteLine ERP is evident. We had an excellent line of communication going back and forth between our organizations that truly enabled us to have a collaborative and successful project implementation.
